Denver, Kansas City and San Diego can realistically think about the postseason. Oakland will be again on the outside looking in, with another new coach in Jack Del Rio. The Raiders, however, are not as distant from the others this year as years’ past because of the promise of young quarterback Derek Carr and Del Rio’s head coaching experience; he spent nine years as head coach at Jacksonville before acting as Denver’s DC for the past couple. Carr, in his second year, has more confidence this year going up against veterans Peyton Manning, Alex Smith and Philip Rivers. The Chiefs and Chargers have the most difficult conference schedules with road games against Cincinnati, Green Bay and Baltimore. Denver, which has the best offense and defense in the division, plays at Indianapolis and Pittsburgh. Advantage Broncos.
